Samuel Hutton

British show jumper, Samuel Hutton started riding at the age of 7 at UK Pony Club level and was talent spotted by the highly respected showjumper Tony Newbery for whom he went on to train and produce quality young horses to compete at some of Britain’s prestigious events including Hickstead, Olympia, Horse of the Year Show (HOYs), Royal Windsor, The British Open and British Masters.

  • 2012-15 – Headhunted to become a work rider by Global Champions Tour creator Jan Tops, in Valkenswaard, Netherlands

During his 3 years at Stal Tops, Samuel competed at CSI 2,3, 4 and 5 Star shows all over Europe and gained further valuable experience in producing and competing top international horses with wins which included

  • 3 star Drachten Grand Prix, Netherlands, February 2014
  • 2 star Lier Grand Prix, Belgium, March 2014
  • 2 star………Grand Prix ……March 2015
  • June 2015-to present – Samuel is based with the hugely successful yard of International Egyptian rider Abdel Said of AS Sport horses, also in Belgium.

At AS Sport horses Samuel competes a range of young, quality horses at international 2,3,4 and 5 Star level; trains amateur riders for international competition and produces and sells horses for their owners.

Competition highlights have included:

  • First CSI0 5 Star senior British team GB, Gijon Nations Cup, 2016 (Happydam)
  • Represented Britain at the 2017 Winter Equestrian Festival, Florida USA including their Nations Cup
  • On British squad at CSI 5 star Nations Cup Show, Aachen Germany (Happydam)
  • In the money at top early 2018 5 star shows in Abu Dhabi and Samorin (Happydam)
